How to get pins

To start with I want to say Welcome to my two new followers, one I'm pretty sure is just following to see if I will eat and sleep (I still say those things are overrated Ana), and the other wants to makes sure I come back.
I was asked by Bones what I wrote in my letters to the MP, MLA and the Mayor to get some pins so I thought I would answer that in a blog this way if anyone else wanted to know here we go.
For the letters I basically just told them what I was doing and how I was going to be helping Canada/Alberta/Edmonton because I will be telling people from all over the world about Canada/Alberta/Edmonton and then I asked for however many pins they could give me.
3 things for the letter:
1. Make each letter personal for each person (MP- letter about repersenting Canada, MLA-letter about representing your Provence and the mayor -letter about representing your city)
2. Lay it on thick about how much you love the Country/Province/City, I told the MP about random facts of Canada
3. Make a joke, I ended each letter with a joke (ie. Will I miss winter.... Nope but will I miss alberta beef.... Hell yeah)
Here is a sample of a letter I sent to my MLA, I basically used this letter but changed it for different people asking for different pins.

To: The Honorable __________

My name is ________and I will have the honour of representing Canada and especially Alberta for the next year while working at Disneyworld at the Canadian pavilion in EPCOT.

This was from approximately 1500 to 3000 applicants throughout Canada, 30 were chosen and only three people from our lovely province were chosen this time around. During my work at the pavilion I will be meeting people from around the world and speaking not only about Canada but Alberta.

One thing about Disneyworld is the trading of pins – staffs are able to give out pins that they have on a sash to anyone visiting the park for a pin and explaining what the pin represents.

My request is to see if I could be able to get about 200 to 300 pins of Alberta to take with me to Disneyworld to give to people from around the world – this give me the great pleasure of explaining what each part of the Alberta pin means from the rocky mountains, to the wheat fields of the prairies and our blue sky – well maybe not in the middle of January with blowing snow and a wind chill

I am proud to be Canadian and especially an Albertan – born and raised in Edmonton and it will give me great pleasure to tell everyone from the world how great it is to be an Albertan

Will I miss winter, most likely not... but will I miss Alberta beef, most defiantly.

22 DAYS TO GO!!!!!

Ok so I only have 22 days left until I head off, however now I am stuck in a moral dilemma. My Baba is now in the hospital and no one knows what is wrong with her and I'm sure she won't be out until after I am gone. She told me before she went in that I am to go no natter what, so you would think that would be a easy decision right.... Wrong, part of me knows that I have to fallow her wishes and go but the other part keeps thinking what if she doesn't make it. My parents still tell me to go so I know they won't be mad.
I am waiting for a pay cheque to get to me so I can buy medical insurance right now the money I have in the account needs to go to teeth fillings so that sucks.
I paid for the program fee which was $104.
And I got my VISA so that is awesome now I just need to finish packing and keep visiting my Baba.

Pins, classes, packing and new toys

Let's see what has happened since I last blogged.... So the weather has warmed up a lot now instead of snow everywhere we have puddles, but because of the amount of snow we had some buildings roofs are caving in.
I paid the $104 disney program fee so now I have a room held for me and I figured out medical insurance I just need the money to pay for it.
I got my new laptop from Dell and I'm just waiting for it to thaw out, before I can play with it, not sure if I mentioned this before but I got a new camcorder for my trip to Orlando.
I had emailed my MP (member of parliament), my MLA (Members of the Legislative Assembly), and my mayor about me going to work in EPCOT and they all gave me pins, so now I have 150 Edmonton (my town), 99 Alberta (I use to have 100 but my Baba wanted one) (my province) and 150 Canada (obviously my country) to give out.
So even though I still have 4 weeks before I go I wanted to make sure I have everything so I started to pack, figured out I am going to need 2 suitcases so I'm going to have to pay the extra baggage fee
Oh well it's only $30 I can live with that.
I am helping teach film classes again and I realized that this group of students will be amazing but I won't get to see the moment they go "I finally understand" that usually happens in the 5th or 6th class and I only get to be there until the 4th. Oh but in a different kind of class I found a class that at Disney that I hope I will be able to take it's a class all about the entertainment side at Disney I found it at this site https://www.wdwcollegeprogram.com/sap/its/mimes/zh_wdwcp/students/education/edu_overview.html I know it is for the college program but out booklet said that we can take professional development classes and that is what this falls under.

Snow, snow and more snow

Well I really can not wait until I get to Florida in march for right now I am getting snowed in. I can't believe that next winter at this time I won't be buried in snow, I won't be spending 15 min each time I want to go some where finding my car.
My job at toys r us has come to a end and my film classes that I help teach will be starting up again at the end of the month.
On to some Disney news, I have my plane booked to get out there and I found put that someone in my arrive group will be on the same flight, so at least I will have someone to get lost with, cool thing about my flight is it only cost me $247 with tax, I got it though air Canada.
I'm still looking into insurance, so that will be the next purchase.

88 days!!!!

So I missed the 99 day mark, but here is the 88 day mark and I still have nothing done.
I have been working non stop to make the money I need, but I did get my police check in and I have been stalking the airline sites watching the prices so I know which flight i want, now I just need to book it and for medical I think I'm going with the one from yummy jobs for 4 months and then take the Disney one.
Next week i'm getting a massive pay cheque so all that will get me my flight and medical.... If I could only get to my money in my bank account, I tried to buy some Christmas presents and it told me "no way" now I know for a fact i have money so trying to figure out why I couldn't get it was not fun, I had to call the bank and I found out my bank card might have been hacked at a store I bought something else at so they put my available funds to $0 and didn't tell me so when I called they said "we contacted you...." umm last time I checked I made the phone call, so now I need to go to the bank and get a new card which will be a fun adventure to fit in, seeing as from 5pm to 9pm i go to job 1 and then from 10pm to 6am I got to job 2, banks open at 10am so I will be getting 5 hours of sleep. Weeeeee!!!!!!!!
Speaking of lack of sleep, I should get some for I need to be up in 5 hours.

I've never abused a child....

.... And I have a piece of paper to prove it, i got my police check in the mail a few days ago, but first I had to go to the main police station (I went to my community one to get it ordered) to talk to them about the program (to make sure it wasn't a scam) and also sign for the deeper check of me so that they can make sure I never hurt a child, as the lady at the desk said "it's good to get this check so Donald duck doesn't eat the kids faces" I just looked at her as in "what!!!" so now I know every time I see Donald duck in Disney i will think of that comment.
So I got my 2nd job at toys r us, but i never see kids for i work overnight. I'm hoping my pay check is big this week for I want to get my plane ticket there's a seat sale on the one I want and i can save $100.
Will that's it for now, ohhh so my car is fixed and in total the repairs costed $2000 so i was annoyed.
